Day 2: HCM CITY – CU CHI TUNNELS (B,L)
Under the name Saigon, it was the capital of the French colony of Cochin China and later from 1955 to 1975. In 1976, Saigon merged with the surrounding Gia Dinh Province and was officially renamed Hồ Chí Minh City although the name Sài Gòn is still commonly used by locals
The city center is situated on the banks of the Saigon River. You have a half day to discovery Ho Chi Minh city.
And a half day left, you will visit Cu Chi tunnels which is the longest Tunnels was recognized by Asian record and was a Viet Cong base during the war. Coming here, we sure that you will be fascinated by the ghostly battle map of the Cu Chi Tunnels. Hence, your trip will be more interesting because you have more knowledge and histories of Vietnam.
We start to the tour of dynamic City. The highlights of Saigon including the Central Post Office, the Notre Dame, the Reunification Palace or war museum, Phuong Nam lacquer ware factory and Thien Hau Pagoda or Cha Tam Church in the city’s bustling China town.
In the afternoon, meet up our guide to visit Cu Chi tunnels, famed for its 200-kilometre-long tunnels, an incredible underground network built by Vietcong during the Vietnam war. Back to Ho Chi Minh in the late afternoon.
Day 3: HCM – CAN THO (B,L,D)
Today begins early at 8:00 am, you travel to My Tho. Upon arrival, you will be transferred into a Wooden Motor Boat, which will take you to the spectacular Unicorn Island. Here, you can experience quiet local villages and rural people working the rice fields. Make sure to snap some pictures of the exotic fisherman’s port with its iconic stilt houses.
After a snack of some local tropical fruits, we’ll head on to Turtle Island. Here you can get into a smaller row boat to experience a more local view of the river. We’ll take you to a bee farm here where you can sample some of the tasty treats and listen to local folk music. If your sweet tooth hasn’t been satisfied enough, we’ll head to a coconut candy store, where you can see how local people make these great handcrafted treats and items from the coconuts around.
Overnight in Can Tho
Day 4: CAN THO – CAI RANG MARKET – HCM (B,L)
Today, you will get up very early to catch amazing scene of Cai Rang Floating Market. During market hours (from 4am to 8am), larger sized boats anchor and create lanes that smaller boats weave in and out of. The waterway becomes a maze of hundreds of boats packed with mango, bananas, papaya, pineapple, and even smuggled goods like cigarettes. Reach the Cai Rang floating market, you will take for nice pictures or contact with local people. After the market, the trip will take you along the river bank and down cannels to see how people live. We return to hotel for breakfast and check –out. We will visit Ba Cong Garden & Rice noodle house, visit Binh Thuy ancient house.
Transfer back Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 5: HO CHI MINH DEPARTURE (B)
Unlike other towns in Vietnam where you often drive from one to another venue to choose different favorite goods, lots of typical oriental products can be collected in Sai Gon downtown. So today is your own day to shop around. You will have time for shopping until transfer to airport for your departure flight.
