Pac Ngoi VillageDay 1   Hanoi – Ba Be (B,L,D)

Depart from your hotel with our tour guide and driver, we head to Thai Nguyen City, make a stop and visit the Museum of Ethnology in Thai Nguyen town, and continue on the road to Ba Be Lake about midday. Check in a homestay in Pac Ngoi Village, walk around to visit the village of the Tay people. Dinner and overnight in Ba Be.

 

 

 

 

ba be lakeDay 2   Ba Be – Boat trip (B,L,D)

We start a day on a boat visiting the lake. Lunch in  local house or picnic lunch by waterfall. After lunch, continue to boat into the tranquil Ba Be Lakes for its majesty, visit some local villages before getting back to your village.

 

 

 

 

pac bo cao bangDay 3   Ba Be – Pac Bo – Cao Bang (B,L,D)

Today we trek to visit National Park in the morning. After that, take a 2.5 hour drive towards Cao Bang where the Hmong, Dao, Tho and Nung live together. We will arrive in Cao Bang town about 1.30pm for our lunch, check in, take a short rest then we drive to visit Pac Po Cave, where Ho Chi Minh set up headquarters for the Vietnamese Revolution in 1945. Back to Cao Bang town in the late afternoon. Overnight in Cao Bang town.

 

 

 

ban gioc waterfallsDay 4   Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Cao Bang (B,L,D)

Visit the most beautiful and biggest waterfall in the North between the borders of Vietnam and China. There is a cave has two main entrances and one branch reaching almost all the way to the waterfalls where the secret entrance is. On the way back, we can stop to visit hill tribe villages as requests. Back to Cao Bang for overnight.

 

 

 

Day 5   Cao Bang – Hanoi (B,L)

Check out and drive back to Hanoi, stop for sightseeing and breaks on the way and arrive Hanoi about 5pm.

Notes:

  • Check in time is normally at 14.00, check out time is normally at 12.00. Early check in or check out is upon on availability of the hotels.
  • Accommodation in the North is very basic
  • What to bring: Passport, Sun glasses and hat, toiletries, sun block, insect repellent, flashlights, good hiking shoes, personal firs aid kid and medicines, small VND notes for buying drinks, Sleeping bag (highly recommended).
  • All meals are basic Vietnamese Food, no gourmet, so please bring some snacks or energy bars if you need to.
