What Is the Best Tour in Hanoi Vietnam Halong Bay?

Hanoi is the bustling and hustling city all which has the most outstanding sites including historical, cultural sites and art exhibition. And being 170 kilometers away from Hanoi, Halong is one of the World Natural Heritage, which explains the fascination of tourists everywhere to come visit Halong.

Discovering Hanoi capital on the first day

In the morning

After landing at Noi Bai airport, you take a taxi to your hotel in the center of Hanoi capital. The first destination in this city is Ho Chi Minh complex which combines other sites like his Mausoleum, former residence, the impressive house around, his garden and the One Pillar Pagoda. However, you should check the schedule because it opens only from 8.00-10.30 every day, accepting Monday and Friday so you will visit the surrounding area of this complex. When visiting here, you must wear formal clothes and do not make noise during the time.

In the afternoon

You move to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. The museum focuses on the 54 officially recognized ethnic groups in Vietnam, you will know more about the culture and Vietnamese people. However, Museum of Ethnology is closed on Monday so Ho Lo prison will be the alternative site to visit for you. If you want to visit both, you should arrange your time.

In the mid-afternoon, you will move to Hanoi Old Quarter to take a cyclo – a traditional type of vehicle to go around the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem lake, experience a bustling corner of Hanoi. The unique type of transportation would give you the best feeling and views to take photos and easy to watching Hanoian day-life. The mid-afternoon is the best time to try out Hanoi’s street food, which is very delicious and available on each street in the old quarter. If you have more time, you can go for a walk around Hoan Kiem lake and visit Ngoc Son temple with Ngoc Son bridge.

The cyclo would give you the best view to take some photos while watching Hanoian life. Also, it’s would be flexible if you want to stop by and try out Hanoi’s street-foods or buy souvenirs in the Old Quarter. You should also go in Ngoc Son Temple on Hoan Kiem Lake to explore the legend about the preternatural Turtle.

In the evening

One suggestion for you is to have a dinner in Ta Hien street which is a famous foreign street. Coming here, you will know about the culture of the street-food in Northern Vietnam with drink street beer and special foods. After that, walking on the walking streets around Hoan Kiem Lake such as Ly Thai To, Hang Dao… There are many Vietnamese traditional games with the fresh air.

Visiting the local village in Bai Tu Long on the second day

In the morning

You will be picked up to Halong Bay at your hotel. It takes 3.5 hours to catch up Hon Gai Port. Your tour guide will lead you to get on the cruise, their staff will bring for you the Welcome Cocktail.

In the afternoon

You enjoy the buffet lunch while the Cruise hangs around hundreds of islets to discover unspoiled magics of Halong Bay beauty. A meal in the lunch includes many delicious Vietnamese foods and great drinks. On the beach, the junk moves slowly toward Bai Tu Long Bay. The cruise comes to the limestone islands of Bai Tu Long Bay and head to one of the destinations in Hanoi Vietnam Halong Bay is Vung Vieng fishing village – one of the largest fishing villages in Halong Bay. After climbing up the mother boat, you will be departed by rowing boats or kayaks to enter Vung Vieng village. This village offers a great opportunity for visitors to experience the villager’s daily life as well as observe the traditional culture and customs of the fishermen. Moreover, you have a short visit to Pearl Farm to learn how natural pearls are created and return to Paloma Cruise for your leisure or join one of the following optional activities: Sunbathing, traditional massage, swimming and so on. You will take 30 minutes to freshen up and finish packing then upon return to the boat. Otherwise, you have another option in there, it is going kayaking by yourself at Ban Chan island. Ban Chan beach brings a unique masterpiece, bewitching any public mind had. Its landscape is the harmony between the clouds and water. Ban Chan is surrounded by rocks and trees of green forest covering along the sea, nature points with a poetic beauty and charm to heart with the fresh air, blue water and white sand stretching for kilometers beneath blue casuarina pines. It ensures this place is very attractive as you can enjoy yourself on the beach, swim and play some volleyball or try your hand at some kayaking in the magnificent setting of Halong Bay

In the late afternoon: You will return to your cruise and have a bath then relax as the sun starts to set. Continuously, you enjoy the Happy Hour at the bar and on the sun deck and take part in our cooking class with the chef of your cruise. On the cruise, you should attend the cooking class to learn how to cook traditional Vietnamese foods.

In the evening

The dinner is served. Besides, this time is to relax by participating in the activities such as the light music for dancing in the dining room, film entertainment and playing cards are provided, and massage services are available. Additionally, you may also try squid fishing and fishing from the boat. Then you should go to your board to overnight.

Exploring several strange caves in Halong Bay on the last day

In the morning

Surprising Cave called Sung Sot Cave is located on Bo Hon island in the central area of Halong Bay. The cave is known as a large cave and the most beautiful of the cave in the bay. Otherwise, this cave is famous for the unique formation of stalagmite with special shapes in anywhere of a cave. Sung Sot cave is divided into two main chambers. The first chamber is a big theater immense and cave’s ceiling is covered with a layer of stalactites hanging down with various shapes, colors, and sizes. To approach the second chamber, you need to pass the narrow ways to see a completely new and strange landscape, vast cave’s chamber can contain thousands of people as a theater. Continuously, you go to the highest point the door of the cave, you completely take a view of Halong Bay and take nice pictures of Halong bay from high point to keep the memories.

Secondly, Thien Cung cave is one of the most attractive caves in the UNESCO World Heritage area. There are many strange images on the stone from birds, fish to the scenes of human life. On the north, there are some beautiful fairies that are dancing and singing in honor of the wedding while in some place, the visitors can hear the sound of a drum created by the wind blowing through the stone. There are many legends of this cave that the tourists might be as the story of a young lady named May and the Dragon Prince or the legend of May and her 100 children.

After finishing the journey on the beach, you will check out your board. Your luggage can be delivered to the reception area. You should check carefully to avoid missing some important items. Then you have early lunch on board and disembark the cruise at around 12:00 a.m.

At the noon, you will come back to the land and buy some souvenirs for your family and friends in here.
